PRESS RELEASE: The Umphress Group, Littleton's 2017 #1 Team Offering Agents up to 95% Commission Split
At a recent 2019 Business Planning Retreat, agents with The Umphress Group were notified of the team's new commission structure that not only removes a Market Center "cap" by the team paying it for the agents, but also gives them a chance to earn commission splits as high as 95% to the agent, and 5% to the team.
Most common commission splits among teams in the industry is 50/50, with some teams retaining as much as 75% on listings. Agents are often encouraged to generate their own business, but are often still not compensated anywhere near the level that the team rolled out for their 2019 plan.
In this case with The Umphress Group, the team will continue to provide the same full time staff, covering marketing, transaction management, listing management and client care, a significant amount of team-generated Internet Leads, as well as systems and tools required to run a successful business. The team is committed to continue to raise the bar on value provided to the agents, even in light of the recent pay raise for agents.
During the 2-day planning retreat, team owner, Dave Umphress revealed that a majority of commission splits coming in to the team already get reinvested in to building agent's businesses, and that his dream is that every agent on the team makes more money than him. At a 95% commission split, that seems to be an inevitable future.
The Umphress Group exists to help people all over Colorado turn their real estate dreams in to reality in order to give those less fortunate around the world a reality they've only dreamed of. With a goal of giving away $1M a year by 2021, the team strives to attract agents and clients interested in changing the world, one house at a time. The team typically attracts experienced, productive agents, but occasionally takes a chance on new agents.
In 2017, The Umphress Group sold 130 homes, earning themselves the #1 spot on Real Trends "America's Best" list for Littleton, CO (#44 in Colorado) a suburb which spans the entire Southwest corridor of the Denver metro area.
